Delhi 2010 physical tickets will now be available for spectators, with the Organising Committee Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi Secretary General Dr. Lalit K. Bhanot today launching the second phase of ticketing programme.
Tickets in this Phase will be available from the Internet, Retail Outlets and through the Call Centre. All those who have bought tickets during the first phase can redeem their vouchers against actual tickets.

t’s turning out to be a great year for Indipop band Euphoria’s frontman, Dr Palash Sen. Euphoria’s been signed on to compose the Commonwealth Games 2010 anthem. Not only that, they’re coming up with an album after four years, and Sen’s also made a Bollywood comeback, with the song Main
“Mithoon, Lamhaa’s composer, called me out of the blue one day to sing the song on the suggestion of Eric Pillai, who has mixed all of Euphoria’s albums,” says Sen.
“It was such a fantastic song that when I heard it in Mithoon’s voice I told him it should be him singing it! I personally feel I have an ordinary voice. But Mithoon convinced me and here we are. Sen feels it’s the way Mithoon has composed it and made him sing that it’s doing so well on the charts.
“Subtlety has never been my style,” Sen smiles, “and so I’m proud of this song. It doesn’t matter if I hardly do playback, as long as the few songs I sing give me the satisfaction of having been associated with quality. The lyrics, composition and mixing of this song are fantastic.”
Sen, who was first heard on the soundtrack of the 2002 Meghna Gulzar film, Filhaal, in which he also starred, has only sung two songs since, before Main kaun hoon. The singer says that’s because he was never interested in Bollywood.
“I’m a performer, and my life is all about getting on stage and rocking it in front of a live audience,” Sen says. “So when my band performs 100 concerts across the country every year, why would I beg to a Bollywood producer to give me a song?”

And so Sen’s busy doing what he’s best at. Currently, the singer, along with his band Euphoria, is on a three-city ‘Green Concert’ tour for the Commonwealth Games, organised by the Indian government. The band will be playing at Kolkata, Hyderabad and Vishakhapatnam to promote being environment-friendly.
“Apart from our regular Euphoria songs, we’ll also showcase a special song we’ve made on the environment, called Hey ya,” Sen says.
